IN FOCUS is pleased to present “IN FOCUS in Exhibition,” the first group exhibition with our staff since the company’s establishment in 2012. The theme of the exhibition is the “_ _____” in the IN FOCUS logo. This shape not only serves as a dividing line, but also provides a trigger for recognition, resembles an “i” when rotated, and can be read as a cipher. The “_ _____” that has supported IN FOCUS since the beginning will be presented through the skills and knowledge our staff have cultivated in their respective fields. The venue is our creative studio “CONTRAST,” located on the first floor and basement of IN FOCUS. The IN FOCUS participants will attempt to propose new perspectives in this space, which was set up for exchanges with various artists based on the concept of “reconstruction.” During the exhibition, original goods produced by the members of this exhibition will be on sale on the first floor of CONTRAST. The reception party will be held on December 13th, Friday from 18:00 to 21:00. We hope you’ll join us for the show! ー IN FOCUS in Exhibition Reception Party : 12/13 (Fri) 18:00 – 21:00 Date : 12/14 (Sat)– 12/18 (Wed) Time : 12:00 – 19:00 Entrance : Free Venue : CONTRAST Supported by : AB InBev Japan LLC

Exhibition & Order Event

Haa Jime Studio

〈Haa Jime Studio〉will be holding the first exhibition and order event on November 30th, Saturday, and December 1st, Sunday at CONTRAST. This exhibition showcases glass lighting created in collaboration with Yoko Yamano-Andersson, a glass artist based in Sweden, as well as furniture crafted with artisans from all over Japan that embodies the strength and warmth of the materials used. The furniture items are made to order and will be delivered upon completion. ー 〈Haa Jime Studio〉 is designed not only for personal use at home but also to withstand years of use in restaurants and other establishments. It reflects the strength of natural wood and the warmth of craftsmanship. They were founded on the foundation of Japan’s skilled artisanship to create furniture that embodies the warmth of human touch and the strength of the materials. The name “Studio” conveys both the collective efforts of all artisans involved and a sense of anonymity. This is not the work of any single person but a project shaped by many hands. Their ideal is to integrate materials, techniques, and design into pieces that, while not overly assertive, maintain a strong presence and timeless appeal. ー Exhibition: 11/30(Sat) 12:00 - 19:00 12/1(Sun) 12:00 - 17:00 Venue:CONTRAST

About CONTRAST
In 2022, CONTRAST opened as a creative space in Yoyogi-Hachiman, Tokyo. The interior, based on a 45-year-old structure, consists of three floors under the concept of "reconstruction," and is managed by IN FOCUS, a digital branding studio that operates under the theme of "We propose new perspectives through a collective pursuit of digital excellence.". The space not only serves as its own creative space but also aims to be widely open to the public, providing a space for continuous and experimental reconstruction by its users, breaking free from limitations. Focusing on various forms of expression and encountering the creators who produce them, we will come to understand the importance of "CONTRAST = comparison" in our endeavors.
